The Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP) co-organized a VIP Investor Event Dinner on July 2, 2026, bringing together investors, enterprise leaders, researchers, policymakers, and technology builders for a strategic conversation on the emerging quantum economy.

The intimate gathering provided participants with an opportunity to discuss the current state of quantum technologies, emerging commercial opportunities, cybersecurity implications, and the importance of developing a competitive Philippine quantum ecosystem.

Nardo Manaloto, founder and managing partner of Qubits Ventures, opened the program by discussing why quantum technology matters today and why closer engagement among investors, government, industry, researchers, and entrepreneurs is essential.

Eps Labrador served as the evening’s facilitator and moderated the fireside discussion, “The Quantum Outlook,” with Manaloto. The session examined developments in quantum technology and their implications for business, investment, cybersecurity, and national competitiveness. It also established a common foundation for the conversations that followed.

Dr. Napoleon Juanillo presented the government’s perspective on the Philippines’ deep-technology ambitions. His reflection covered the country’s efforts to strengthen its capabilities in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, advanced computing, and quantum technology, including its participation in the Pax Silica initiative.

Pax Silica is an international initiative focused on strengthening trusted technology supply chains—from critical minerals and advanced manufacturing to semiconductors, computing, artificial intelligence, and data infrastructure. The Philippines’ participation presents an opportunity to strengthen the country’s position within the global deep-technology economy.

During dinner, participants introduced their organizations, current initiatives, and the strategic challenges they were seeking to address. Labrador facilitated the introductions and guided the roundtable discussion, drawing connections among the issues raised and exploring where quantum and other frontier technologies could create opportunities for collaboration, experimentation, and future ventures.

The dialogue encouraged participants to look beyond quantum computing as a purely academic field and consider the conditions needed to translate scientific progress into useful technologies, investable enterprises, skilled employment, and solutions relevant to national priorities.

The formal program concluded with remarks from Manaloto and QCSP President Bobby O. Corpus Jr. They emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration in building the Philippine quantum ecosystem and invited participants to continue the relationships and conversations established during the event.

QCSP’s role as co-organizer reflects its mission of connecting the country’s quantum community with government, academe, industry, and investors.
