From August 17–21, Quantum Roadshow 2026 brought together students, educators, researchers, IEEE members, industry stakeholders, and quantum enthusiasts across three locations — creating spaces for knowledge exchange, ecosystem building, and gap analysis in quantum technologies. Heavy rains and flooding tested both Leg 1 and Leg 2, but true to form, the show went on — sessions, workshops, and forums all pushed through as scheduled.

📍 Leg 1 · Aug 17–18 — Manila

The journey began with sessions covering Quantum Engineering Education and Research, Quantum Supply Chain in Asia, and The Next Wave of Connectivity: Quantum Internet, alongside plenary perspectives from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, DOST-ASTI, and De La Salle University. The program also featured a Quantum Education Gap Analysis Workshop, where participants identified and analyzed gaps in curriculum, skills, research infrastructure, and collaboration, followed by group presentations of recommendations and action plans. A Panel Discussion & Open Forum further encouraged discussions on quantum development and the Philippine quantum landscape. Manila saw heavy rain throughout the two days, but organizers, speakers, and participants pushed through the weather to keep every session on schedule.

📍 Leg 2 · Aug 19–20 — Bulacan

The Roadshow continued in Bulacan with the same core sessions on Quantum Engineering Education and Research, Quantum Supply Chain in Asia, and The Next Wave of Connectivity: Quantum Internet, alongside plenary perspectives from Bulacan State University, National University–Baliwag, Bulacan Polytechnic College, and Baliwag University. The program also featured a Quantum Education Gap Analysis Workshop, where participants identified and analyzed gaps in curriculum, skills, research infrastructure, and collaboration, followed by group presentations of recommendations and action plans. A Panel Discussion & Open Forum on the National Landscape and Quantum Developments in the Philippines further opened dialogue on progress, challenges, and opportunities in the country’s quantum landscape. As in Manila, heavy rain and localized flooding greeted the team in Bulacan, but the sessions carried on without interruption.

📍 Leg 3 · Aug 21 — University of the Philippines Diliman

The Roadshow culminated in Quezon City with sessions exploring diverse areas of quantum technology, including Quantum Supply Chain, Quantum for Biomedical Applications, Quantum Photonics, and Quantum Internet. The program brought together participants for expert-led discussions and an open forum, providing opportunities to explore emerging applications, exchange perspectives, and deepen the conversation on the future of quantum technologies in the Philippines.
